I LOVE MY JOB! I am so blessed to teach in the community where I live. Not many people can ride their bike to work. I have been teaching for 20 plus years. I am proud to say I taught at the National Cathedral Elementary Beauvoir School for 8 years before having children. I was lucky to have been able to take off a few years to raise my wonderfu boys
Kyle and Patrick) before teaching part time at Holy Family in Dale City. I have to admit, I hit the jackpot the day Ms. Jordan offered me my job at Ashland Elementary 7 years ago. I am thankful everyday for the encouragement and support I receive from faculty, parents and students. Those of you who know me well have probably heard me say that this job makes me feel so loved and appreciated. From day one, I have strived to be the best I can be. I never want to be viewed as a "throw out the ball and play" Physical Educator. I do my best to keep up on the latest and greatest activities and info. related to Physical Education and wellness. I just remember being bitten by the fitness bug as a child and I'd love to pass that on to your kids.

*Lived in St. Charles Il. most of my life
*Attended NIU -Ran track and competed in Gymnastics
*Cubs, Bears, and Bulls fan
*Love the Jersy shore
*Love to exercise!! A day w/ out exercise is like a day w/out sunshine!!
*Have been running since 5th grade
*Participated in 4 Marine Corps marathons
*2 Montclair Triathlons- I Always have a little fitness goal for myself


Personal beliefs:
I believe that every child has the ability to learn and practice the skills necessary to participate in a variety of individual and group activities with profiency and improve their fitness level.

 I am committed to providing a safe environment where every child can develop confidence and strengthen relationships with peers of all cultures and backgrounds.

I recognize the importance of preparing every child for the demands of this ever changing world by instilling the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle and encouraging competition in the spirit of cooperation and sportsmanship.

I will do my best to help our students realize that Physical Education really is the most imortant class for their lives!!!
